Two hundred twenty-five years ago, the Hudson River Valley was the major theater of the Revolutionary War, what George Washington referred to as the “Key to Victory.” Each year through 2008, the region will observe Patriots’ Weekend to commemorate and celebrate the War for American Independence. Patriots’ Weekend, 2005 will highlight the 225th Anniversary of Major General Benedict Arnold’s plot to betray Fortress West Point (1780) and the capture, trial, and execution of British General Sir Henry Clinton’s Adjutant General, Major John André.

Enter Thayer Gate through Highland Falls. Pass through security checkpoint with picture id and park in Buffalo Soldier Field. Catch shuttle bus at corner of Mills and Thayer Rds. For return, catch southbound bus to Buffalo Soldier Field.
