The Hudson River Valley Institute is involved in an ongoing effort to collect, digitize, and share rare, out-of-print, and hard-to-find articles, essays, books, and bibliographies dealing with our region. You will find PDFs of these materials
arranged by topic when you select article, books, or bibliographies or historic documents from the menu on the left-side of this page.
In addition to these outside resources, we are always adding new material from our associates and students and link to some of that here as well. This includes thematic guidebooks that contain history, programming, and contact information as well as directions to historic sites throughout
the region, our Hudson River Valley Hall of Fame which contains short
biographies of notable figures in the arts, business and sciences, and Student Works which represents some of the best work done by undergraduates at Marist College, and provide a useful introduction to the themes covered.
The institute has sponsored, partnered and participated in a variety of conferences, symposiums, living-history re-enactments and more. The Photo Gallery and Audio/Video pages provide materials from these events.
Much of the work done to bring these resources to the internet has been undertaken by our interns http://www.hudsonrivervalley.org/about/interns.html at the Institute, made possible in part through the contributions of the D. J. McManus Foundation, Inc. and the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
