Literature of the Hudson River Valley
The Hudson River Valley has been the setting for many a story told,
as well as the birthplace of its share of storytellers. Writers of
particular regional interest include James Fenimore Cooper, Washington
Irving, James Kirke DePaulding, Philip Freneau, Edith Wharton, and
John Burroughs. These writers and others will be the subject of
literary lesson plans centered on the Hudson Valley.
