One June 3, 2006 the new trolley service in Cold Spring kicked off.
Cold Spring To Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Trolleys, The Putnam County News and Recorder
In the Village of Cold Spring a new trolley service will begin this summer departing from lower Main street and will stop at many points of interest along the way.
The Garrison site has just been aanounced as a National Historic Landmark and the first in Putnam County.
U.S. Congresswoman Sue Kelly has helped secure a $250,000 federal grant through the Save America's Treasures that will help preserve Manitoga history, architecture, and landscape for local residents and visitors.
Putnam County chosen for the national designation as a "Preserve America Community" This will create more heritage tourism in the Hudson Valley. The passprt outlines the history of historical locations in Putnam County. Also, the city of beacon has been designated the most recent "Preserve America Community" in NY.
Including legislation from Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties presented as a portion of the Legislators' Panel discussion (Session 3)

Putnam County Executive Robert Bondi was presented with official Perserve America proclamation at a meeting of the Putnam Legislature.
On January 15, 2004, First Lady Laura Bush presented a Preserve America Community Award to Hudson River Valley Institute's Executive Director James M. Johnson and Hudson River Navigator Vincent Tamagna in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House.
