Hours: Guided tours of the museum are offered at 2 & 4 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays from Memorial Day through mid-November. The Visitor Center is open year-round during daylight hours. Take a self-guided walking tour of the Copake Iron Works Historic Distric at any time. Historical Description:
"Copake Falls is the oldest State Park in the Taconic Region and Brace Mountain is home to the highest point in Dutchess County. You can also stop at the newly created Iron Works museum to learn about the iron industry at the former site of Copake Iron Works, established in 1845."
The Site:
"The extensive campground at Copake Falls has sites to accommodate campers seeking a more rustic experience, as well as those seeking a more "home like" experience. There are 46 tent, 24 tent platform, and 36 trailer sites and three cabin areas. The cabin areas vary in number of cabins, location and size."
