Hudson River Valley Institute Partners
- Marist College
Together, Marist College and the Hudson River Valley Institute host prominent regional scholars, have developed and maintained the Institute’s Digital Library, and co-sponsor events educating the college community about conservation, arts, and historical preservation in the Hudson River Valley.
- The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area
In recognition of the Hudson River Valley’s cultural and national resources, the area was designated as a National Heritage Area in 1996. As the center of regional studies for the Valley and academic branch of The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, the Institute engages in academic examination of the area, promotion of area attractions and resources, and provides educational materials to schools, scholars, environmental efforts, and business organizations.
- The Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation
The Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation serves as a resource for companies starting in, or relocating to, a region that hosts IBM, PepsiCo, and other Fortune 500 companies by offering marketing data, site search consultations, and collaborative opportunities.
- Hudson River Navigator
Vincent Tamagna has served as the Hudson River Navigator since 2003, steering projects through state and federal bureaucracies to develop and protect the river as a natural and cultural resource.
- Teaching the Hudson Valley
Teaching the Hudson Valley works to strengthen collaborative ties between educators and museums, parks, historical sites, libraries, and other area resources to create an integrated and creative learning experience for students studying the Hudson River Valley.
- Hudson River Valley Heritage
Hudson River Valley Heritage is an online database of documents, maps, letters, audio, video, manuscripts, and images that reflect the historic and cultural significance of the Hudson River Valley. The Hudson River Valley Institute contributes resources regularly.
