“Chartered by the State University of New York Board of Regents, the Museum is a private non-profit institution dedicated to the natural and the cultural history of the Hudson Highlands. About an hour north of New York City, the Highlands area is where the Hudson River cuts through the Appalachian plateau. The Highlands offers dramatic natural beauty, geographic diversity, and historical interest.”
"The Museum operates two facilities, 1.5 miles apart, and also offers programs at schools and other locations throughout the region. The Museum serves over 40,000 people a year, has a staff of about 15 and many volunteers."
The website contains directions from a number of locations to both sites of the Museum of the Hudson Highlands.
